Simply Delicious Seafood
Winter is here and we are dreaming up ways to keep you warm. For one, we are definitely adding more heat and spice to our new winter menu. Begin with a bunch of tapas-like starters - prawn miso - our sexy upgrade on this warm Japanese broth, a basket of dim sum, a mixed tempura platter, or hot steamed French-style mussels. For mains, we’ve got our signature baby Kingklip on the bone, lemon butta or sweet and sour style. Or if it’s meat you’re after, try our Samurai Jack steak - 250g prime fillet with tempura prawns and Ruby Port sauce.
Our new Japanese stir fries are already winning diner’s hearts and if you can, come back to try all the variations in their authentic sauces. We’ve also added donburis to our menu - steamed rice dishes with toppings of your choice, in authentic Japanese sauces. A must try!
We make the BEST traditional hake and chips, a yummy prawn linguine, Cajun-style grilled calamari, Mussel Pots done five ways, rockin’ Rock Shrimp tempura, Japanese-style oysters, crunchy, Asian-style fried squid served with a homemade teriyaki sauce… Hungry yet?!
For Shellfish purists, we hand-pick the gigantic Langoustines, Tiger Giant Prawns and Crayfish, and our seafood platters deserve their own paparazzi!
For sweet-toothers, we have improved our Chocolate Hot Pot recipe! It is smoother, creamier and even more delicious than before. And we’d personally like to thank the guy at table 16 for ordering four Mille Feuilles one after another - you really make us feel like we’re doing dessert right!
Showstopper Sushi
The sushi served at Lemon Butta is nothing less than superb; a fantastically fresh variety of high quality salmon, tuna, octopus and line fish, cut with delicate precision by charismatic Master Sushi Chef Jaylor Bonayon, a trained specialist in Japanese cuisine. He is at all times very interested in you and your sushi needs and will accommodate your outrageous personal whims and desires. His guest book is full of praise and fans have unabashedly graffitied their love for our sushi across the Lemon Butta walls.
Where You Can Find Us
From the N2 highway, take the R43 turnoff to Hermanus. Keep driving straight when you enter the town, continue onto Harbour Road and then turn left at Marine Drive. You’ll see us waving at you from upstairs! Parking is available all along the drive, ask a friendly attendant to help you find a spot.
